A REALLY TRUSTWORTHY BOOT

In September this year, I took a fairly challenging walking break in the Lake District and both the ground conditions and weather were somewhat worse than anticipated. It included climbing Scafell Pike in very poor visibility and heavy rain on the descent. On another occasion, I had to scramble over miles of wet jagged scree along the side of Wast Water. Thirdly, I travelled through the mountain passes between Wasdale and Borrowdale with extremely strong - actually dangerous - wind and then rain too. Throughout my break, I had to deal with becks and streams in spate, running water along and across paths and waterlogged ground. I was wearing a pair of Anatom Q3 walking boots through all this. The soles gave a very good grip, such that I could proceed safely across wet rock and through water and could climb over crags and boulders with confidence. My feet were comfortable all the time. And the boots were entirely undamaged despite repeated rough treatment. I am really impressed by the good service that they gave me.

SO GOOD I GOT A SECOND PAIR

I asked a shop assistant to point me towards a boot that just did the job it was supposed to do and he persuaded me to buy a pair of Q2s and I've been extremely impressed with them. I use those for wandering about Dartmoor, where I'm lucky enough to live and they've even done a month in the Himalayas. Needing something that would be a bit warmer in the winter snow and have a bit more sturdiness to the toe I got a pair of these Q3's for winter walks and in the Italian alps where I'm often trail walking. Like the others they never let me down in terms of waterproof quality and only needed minimum breaking in to become ultra comfy. I love them so much that I decided to buy a second pair for wearing at work as a landscape gardener. I was a little worried that they wouldn't stand up to the punishment they would take but they are still looking in great shape after a year, just like the others. I've tried other far more expensive and lots of cheaper boots and these do the job better than all of them. I do give them a dubbin treatment every week when in use as they are so comfy I want them to last forever. I'm usually a size 10 but get the 9 1/2, which are almost tight at first but soon become like slippers. Can't recommend any of these boots highly enough.

    BRILLIANT

I was fed up going through so called "big name" boots that just weren't up to the job of walking everyday so after reading various reviews I chose these boots.I can honestly say they are the best boots I've had, they're comfortable from the off and offer great support and sure footedness. Do your feet a favour and treat them to a pair.

    SUPER COMFORTABLE AND VERY DURABLE

Excellent boots, very comfy without having to break them in and very warm in the -18°c we were hillwalking in this week. Very robust soles and with the toe protection too seem to take a beating. And most importantly for me, uppers are a single piece of leather so no more burst stitching!! Every pair of boots I have owned in the last couple of decades has eventually failed at the stitching and immediately become useless as they leak. Very happy.

    MIDDLE EARTH

As a 12 year old teenager I used to get my bike my outdoor gear, yeah 70s ex army, and hop a train to Clitheroe in the ribble valley, and explore pendle, the Bowland fells, and the ribble valley around Longridge. I've spent the last 10 months visiting my old haunts, taking thousands of photographs for my blog page consisting of gear reviews mixed with waking route humour. I've been wearing the G3 boots for the duration of my Lancashire quest and they've proved themselves worthy foot friends. I have wide fore foot and hi arches finding boots that take my orthotics is difficult. No such problem with the Anatom G3. They needed a break in period, but these boots are superbly built and sturdy for UK fells and mountains. I've used them with Kahtoola flexible steel crampons earlier this year, brilliant. Great product so good I'm going to buy a 2nd pair. Thank you.
